PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Cyanuric acid acts as a sunscreen for chlorine. When Cyanuric acid is low, natural sunlight will rapidly breakdown the free chlorine in the swimming pool. This will make it difficult and expensive to maintain a stable chlorine reading, and will allow algae, bacteria and other water borne pathogens to get a foothold in the pool. Without cyanuric acid, 1ppm of unstabilized chlorine is lost within 15 minutes of addition to a swimming pool in direct sunlight. Cyanuric acid protects chlorine in your pool from being broken down as quickly by UV light, allowing it to stay in the water 4 to 6 times longer. This will in turn save money by reducing the amount of chlorine that needs to be added to the pool on a regular basis. High cyanuric acid can only be decreased by partially draining pool water and refilling it with water with no cyanuric acid content. Cyanuric acid should be tested weekly and maintained in a range between 30 to 50ppm. Essential Elements Stabilizer Conditioner will increase the Cyanuric acid level in the pool.

APPLICATION & DOSAGE
Unlike other chemicals, Essential Elements Stabilizer Conditioner is best administered by introducing it into the skimmer with the filter system operating. Premix Essential Elements Stabilizer Conditioner in a pail of pool water and then slowly add the slurry directly into the skimmer so as not to plug the skimmer and the plumbing lines!
DO NOT BACKWASH FOR 48 HOURS UNLESS IT IS DEEMED NECESSARY BY EXCESSIVE FILTER PRESSURE. SPECIAL NOTE FOR ACCURACY OF TESTING CYANURIC ACID:
If a clarifier or flocculant have been added to the pool within the last 5 days, the resulting chemical reaction can create a false low in the tested cyanuric acid level. The chemical reaction cannot be prevented or nullified. Do not rely on the Cyanuric acid test until a minimum of 5 days have passed since the addition of the clarifier or flocculant.
