PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Preve-Cide 30 Plus is 30% polymer algaecide and 70% inactive ingredient. Polymer pool algaecides consist of long chains of atoms. They are versatile because unlike other algaecides they are both non-staining and non-foaming. Polymer algaecides are positively charged and work by attaching themselves to the negatively charged cell walls of a wide variety of bacteria and algae and will in effect suffocate the cell. Polymeric algaecides last longer than quat algaecides and can be used to both kill and prevent algae and are highly effective across a wide range of pH. Polymer algaecides have the added benefit that they have coagulating properties which will help to improve water clarity.

APPLICATION & DOSAGE
FOR TREATMENT OF A FRESHLY CLEANED AND FILLED POOL: Add an initial dose of 13 to 24 fluid ounces of this product per 10,000 gallons of water.
FOR POOLS WHICH HAVE BEEN PROPERLY TREATED AND ARE FREE OF VISIBLE ALGAE: Add an initial dose of 13 to 21 fluid ounces of this product per 10,000 gallons of water.
FOR POOLS HAVING VISIBLE ALGAE GROWTH: Add an initial dose of 24 to 32 fluid ounces of this
product per 10,000 gallons of water and remove settled algae debris by cleaning.
It is necessary that a uniform distribution of algaecide throughout the water be made for maximum
effectiveness. Subsequent additions of 4 to 9 fluid ounces of this product should be made every 5 to
7 days after initial treatment for maintenance. If pool is not covered, it may be necessary to repeat the
full treatment one or more times during the season. If at the end of swimming season pool has some
visible algae growth, add 25 to 32 fluid ounces per 10,000 gallons. This product will prevent the growth
of most algae during the off-season winter months when pools are not in use.
