PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Algaecides have been used to treat water since 2000 BC. Back then it was a combination of charcoal, copper, and sunlight. Copper sulfate has been one of the most common algaecides used in the pool industry in the modern Era. Four thousand years later it is still a front-line algaecide. Preve-Cide Copper is a concentrated copper algaecide made specifically for the control of all types of algae. Before adding Preve-Cide Copper it is encouraged to use an appropriate metal control to prevent preexisting metals in the water from discoloring the water or precipitating out and staining surfaces.
